Taj - Mumbai
The hotels have adopted absolute high security measures immediately after re-opening, since New-year is knocking on the doors. A five-tier security has been put into place, all the visitors have to produce some sort of an identity proof to the hotel security while the party invitees should produce the necessary invitations. Cars are also subjected to extreme security checks to avoid any further untoward incident. The booking list of Taj and Trident prior to the attacks has not yielded any results. Foreign tourists were seen in good numbers post the re-opening showing their trust in the hotel management and security.
Marriot, Islamabad

Marriot
If Taj and Trident has surprised one and all with its speedy re-opening, the Islamabad Marriot in is now being dubbed as Fort Knox of Pakistan. The car bombing left a 60 ft wide and 20 ft deep crater outside the hotel while a gas leak almost blew up the entire roof. The hotel which re-opened on December 28, is an iconic structure and venue for international meetings of diplomatic importance. Initially only 60 rooms will be available, the entire hotel will open for business in March. It is being dubbed as the ‘Fort Knox’ of Pakistan because of the huge security measures taken up in the form of a ‘bomb-proof’ wall in front of the entrance.
