Have you ever felt the first nip of air in a new country?? That feeling of exhilaration when your aircraft touches down on new territory??
The feel of a new breeze as you drive away from the airport, new sights and new architecture, the scents and flavours of new food??
Yes to experience this, all you need to do is to embark on that tour to any holiday destination which has the full potential of transforming into that vacation of a lifetime.
On a personal front, I love traveling. It’s so much fun. It’s like you get to see, know, learn and understand different cultures, people, landscapes and horizons. It provides a window into human psyche and cultures, a best method to decrease prejudices reigning in our minds.
It’s a time when you can be with your friends/family and shower your undivided attention on them. Or live like a nomad wandering from place to place in search of the oasis that would quench your thirst for exploration!!
And with all the above is the added opportunity to shop, shop and shop. What a true bliss!! When in a new place, you can’t avoid shopping. Come on!! who doesn’t want to buy artifacts which every site has to offer and preserve them as memoirs or flaunt them. If you are a philatelist, traveling to different nations will only add to your precious collection.
But there are people for whom traveling is a chore mainly because of the packing and unpacking involved. And for those for whom traveling is an unavoidable part of their work, staying back home is the ideal option to spend their vacation, because they practically live their life out of suitcases and sound of one more tour is truly unwelcome to them. And one really can’t blame them for this aversion. Can you??
For the rest of us, exploring new places is in short the ultimate escape as well as the greatest homecoming!!
