Republic of Angola is a country in central Africa. Bordering to the south is Namibia ,

Democratic Republic of the Congo to the north, Zambia to the east, and west coast has the Atlantic Ocean,

Angola is divided into eighteen provinces. Luanda is the capital of the country. The Northern Angolan province of Cabinda is unique in being separated from the rest of the country by a strip, of approximately 60 kilometres wide. Angola is the world’s twenty-third largest country.

Portugal ruled over Angola for 400 years and both countries share cultural aspects; the main language spoken is Portuguese. A very low percentage of the local population can communicate in English .Travelling in Angola therefore requires a minimum of knowledge of the Portuguese language. Christianity is the Major Religion in Angola as more than 50 percent of the population follows Christianity. The Angolan culture is mostly native Bantu which was mixed with Portuguese culture.

It is famous for its natural beauty, Modern restaurants, water sports, beaches and water sports. The most popular tourist destination in Angola is cities like Benguela, Huambo, Lobito, Lubango, Namibe, Kuito and Menonge. The town of Cabinda is the chief population centre. Basic things you should know about Angola is that you should avoid using your camera in front of police. They consider it as a threat and Photography will result in a very heavy fine. Throughout Angola, taking photographs of sites and installations of military or security interest, including government buildings, may result in arrest or fines and should be avoided.
